The Upper pond

By 1261 Königsberg fortress had quite a perfect look. The Löbe-bacht river was dammed. The ditches filled with water were fenced in. The castle pond (UnterTeich) has formed of the dammed river. OberTeich, which is 22 m. above Pregel river was founded in 1270. This pond was an adornment of the city and fishery was developed there. OberTeich has still remained it’s significance, but as for the fishery, it’s obviously lost forever.
