The civil war

In 1455 3 towns of Königsberg haven’t divided something between them and as a result of discords the civil war of Alstadt and Löbenicht against Kneiphoff broke out. It had lasted for 3 months and ended up defeating Kneiphoff. The leader of the Kneiphoff troops was Baltasar von Sagan. Even though he was defeated, he had become a hero of folk tales- but many years since then people’s memory has mixed the duke’s name with the name of the Rudau Battle hero, and they were taken as the same person.
