The Gregorian calendar, the one we r using nowadays, was brought to Prussia (and to Königsberg accordingly). It happened in 28 years after the advent of a new calendar by the Pope. (Gregorian calendar was brought in Russia with a delay-in 1918, but in Egypt it was considered only in 1928). In 1613 the first picture-map of the town was published. It was printed in Georg Braun’s multivolume edition “The cities of the globe”. By 1618 Königsberg had become a trade center on Baltic and Russian crops and other goods were transported through there.
