Hoffman

The world famous novelist-romantic, composer and artist Ernest Theodore Amadeus Hoffmann was born on the 24’th of January in 1776 in Königsberg. His parents’ house was in Franzesischen strasse, 25. In 1796 he had graduated from the faculty of law of the Königsberg University. He went to Glogau for service. After 2 years he had moved to Berlin In 1814 he was taken on staff o Department of Justice, but he didn’t give up literature and music. The outstanding works of literature by Hoffmann –“The Devil’s elixir”, “The golden pot”, “Baby Zaches”, and the last novel “The Lord of fleas”, where he was deeply criticizing the police order in Prussia
