The French StreetThat time the trade with France was in a great progress and in 1663 the Franzesisch Strasse, or the French street appears in Königsberg. It settled right on a dam of UnterTeich. The street was becoming inhabited by French merchants. In 1686 lots of migrants who were hiding from a religious persecution came there. After that a little reformation church was constructed nearby. |
