A 370 million lack to launch the volleyball complex
At the meeting held at the place of the future volleyball complex yesterday in Kaliningrad, governor G.Boos said that extra 370 million roubles needed to finish the sports complex construction and run it into action.
Upon discussing almost all issues of the building process the contractor representatives from “Muradin” Company told the governor that the cost of the contract signed with the builder and contractor, that was about 860 million roubles, didn’t include costs on buying necessary equipment to put the sports complex into operation. So to add, there is a financial lack on warmth-ventilation systems.
The point is in the usage of the similar complex in Kazan as the basic project pattern, however, the necessity in extra equipment was found after putting the mentioned complex into operation.
“How to solve that?”, - asked G.Boos the participants of the outdoor meeting. – “What is the procedure of that?”
After a minute long pause the journalists present at the meeting were asked to leave and then the meeting was resumed.
Answering a couple of questions after G.Boos confirmed that the financing source to buy the necessary equipment hadn’t been found yet. According to him, extra 370 million roubles needed to launch the complex, however, the governor was certain that “some kind of cost reduction” would be an effective measure taken to cut the costs down to 300-320 million roubles.
“The source of financing hasn’t been decided yet, we are going to solve the problem separately and find the ways out. We are also thinking about the possibility of bringing investors to the object so that they could lease vip-boxes, rooms for authorized staff to place there restaurants, cafes, sundry shops and so on”, - said the governor.
G.Boos emphasized that the object could be many-functional and used by the private capital.
To remind that according to the primary schedule the sports complex was to be presented to the State commission in November, 2008. From now on the deadline is marked by 11th of May, 2009.
