Long-termed drought

FC  Anzi and Volgar-Gazprom never appear to be
easy for Baltika. In the first half of the season we played 1-1 in Astrkhan
losing the chance to win the game as Korovushkin missed from the spot in late
of the match and two days after Anzi proved to be better with two goals scored
in our goal almost breaking the line to try chances for Baltika that day.
Time
went through and Anzi with Volgar have had different tracks laid in the
tournament. The team from Makhachkala goes in the top among the leaders which
are Shinnik, Alaniya and Sibir while the Astrakhan club is a desperate underdog
harvesting only from very good moods and on big holidays which happen not so
often.
This time
Baltika FC picked just two home points out of six and became deeper dipped in
the middle of the table. The first match against Anzi could hardly be full of
goals for both sides – the hosts and guests wanted to secure from conceding and
therefore concreted their defensive lines resulted in a 0-0 draw with few
scoring opportunities from both teams at the end of the game.
The second
rivalry when we played Volgar wasn’t abound with scoring chances either and we
stirred up only after getting a goal through the middle of the second half but
were successful in equalizing as Golubov got down with the help of the opponent
and a minute after he converted a penalty giving his team and its fans a slight
reason to celebrate only one home goal in two matches.
 Before two next away games in Nabereznye Chelny and Nizniy Novgorod Baltika takes place 8.
