Cathedral Choir

The cathedral choir is a professional collective of musicians with special education. There are graduates of music conservatories in Petrozavodsk and Nizhniy Novgorod among the members. Eugenia Sinichenkova, a graduate of The Academy of Culture in St. Petersburg, leads the choir and since 1991 she is its precentor. The choir is a laureate of numerous music contests. Besides the work in the cathedral it is engaged in the enlightenment activity and goes on tour in Russia and abroad. It was awarded the Diploma of the audience sympathy at the festival of sacred Christian music in Poland in 1994, and the precentor was awarded the personal prize for the mastery to conduct. The choir gave concerts in catholic and orthodox churches and cathedrals as well as at public organizations in many German cities in 1996-97.
