Chamber orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra is the pride of the Philharmonic. The Art Director of the orchestra and its band-master is Honoured Artist of Russia Alexander Andreev. The Chamber Orchestra is founded in 1991, and since 1997 it is in the membership of The Philharmonic. The repertoire of the orchestra consists not only of traditional classical compositions of the 17-19 centuries, but also of the latest works of modern native and foreign music (Shostakovich, Shnitke, etc). The orchestra performed on tour in Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Sweden, France and Spain. It cooperates with famous Russian and foreign soloists and conductors. In 1998 it got the title of laureate of the regional professional award “Priznanie” (Recognition) for achievements in the art of music.
