Kaliningrad Drama theatre

Traditional roman’s columns under the pediment triangle, whimsical theatric lamps, gorgeous plastic ornaments with the bas- relieves of well known dramatists. Kaliningrad Drama Theatre is a huge building in front of fountain, situated on the Teatralnaya Ploshad. It is one of the most important neo- classicism style architectural structures, which was totally restored after the World War II. First built in 1911- 1912 the Theatre was rebuilt many times. Destructed by bombing, that building had been restored for ten years, by building management organization of the Baltic fleet after the project of architect V. Koohtenov. In 2004 when was celebrated the 750th anniversary of Kaliningrad interior of the hall was renovated.
