Castle "Balga"

The knights began the building of the stone castle on the hill in 1245. A 25-meter high hill has a steep slope to the bay. The castle was so firm that it wasn’t destroyed even during the numerous Prussians uprisings. After the Grunwald battle it had lost its military functions. During the attack in 1945 the castle was destroyed heavily. Even now when it is destroyed it is very interesting from historical and architectural point of view.
