The lower lake

The residents and the guests of the Kaliningrad city always like strolling on Nizhnee Lake. It has been always a special place. Since XIX century Lake has got an official name. It was called Zamkovyi Pound as there was a castle near lake. The cascade and the embankment around lake were built in 1930. The cascade connected pound with Verkhnee Lake. The embankment and bridges, benches, stairs and street lamps are the result of the rearrangement of the park. It has been finished by 80-s of the XX century.
