The sculpture of mother Russia

It is situated in the public square between Leninskiy Prospect and Teatraljnaya Street. This sculpture is the symbol of the new Russian region creation. There is a slab on the memorial, it reads: “Kaliningrad region was formed as a part of the USSR after the Supreme Soviet Presidium of the USSR decree”. The memorial was unveiled on the 6th of November in 1974. It was created by sculptor B. V. Edunov.
